Outfit Your Camper for Less

Outfitting your camper can be fun. Pick up funky mismatched towels, plastic cups (ideally they will store/stack for space saving) a clever set of salt and pepper shakers (you know the type I’m talking about!) and hit the road running with a sense of pride. Not only did you save cash, but you’ve given new life to a previously loved item and prevented its certain death at the landfill. Win, win!

Once you get started, you’ll find more and more items that can be sourced second hand so you’ll be well stocked without breaking the bank. Extend this thinking to time saving… if you’re tired of packing up kids clothes every time you head out, get a “camper set” of attire and set out with confidence that you haven’t forgotten little Suzy’s bathing suit or Joey’s rubber boots.
Here is a list of some of our favourite items you can pick up second hand and leave in the camper for years to come:
  • Dishware and utensils (Click here for a checklist of everything you need!)
  • Storage bins and baskets
  • Umbrellas and shade hats
  • Rubber boots and flip flops
  • Towels and bedding
  • “Camper” clothes for the kids
  • Games, books and DVD’s
  • Coolers and camp chairs
  • Flashlights
Some specialty items might be harder to find, but who knows! Click here for a  list of essential items you’ll want to have on hand.
Happy camping!
